The 2013 United Cardinal Bloggers Annual Is Now Available

Let us journey back in time for a moment all the way back to late 2012, a time when the world’s fate was considered in peril by lunatics and the presidency of the United States for the next four years had not yet been decided. It was during this fateful era when head of the United Cardinal Bloggers and all-around good guy Daniel Shoptaw (C70) inquired into our participation in the 2013 UCB Annual, a collection of Cardinals-related articles tackling a number of different subjects. Seeing as how we obviously love writing about baseball, we eagerly took the opportunity and now it’s time to see the fruits of our labor. You can now purchase The 2013 United Cardinal Bloggers Annual: An Unexpected Journey e-book on Amazon for the low, low price of just $4.99! If you didn’t figure out that the last sentence contained a link, you can also click on this link to go check out the book.

Okay, so to be fair our labor was far less intensive than that of many others involved. First and foremost, thanks to Daniel and Christine Coleman of Aaron Miles’ Fastball for editing this thing and probably getting saddled with countless headaches caused by annoying writers like us. Also, thanks to Will Leitch for writing a foreward, and the whole crew for doing a fantastic job with the material at hand. The UCB is a pretty incredible group to be a part of, and we’re very grateful to be embraced with such open arms. Enough with being sappy, though; we don’t want Dennis to beat us up.

To give you a bit of a preview when it comes to our involvement with the book, Spencer and I wrote a piece on the sometimes fascinatingly-awful 2012 Cardinal bullpen. There were notable ups and downs all season long when it came to the bullpen, and the unit was probably the biggest reason the Cardinals were left fighting for a playoff spot against the Braves rather than coasting to the finish line. Thankfully a late-season boon of young talent yielded better results, and we have plenty of reasons to be excited going forward. There you go; that’s the only preview you’re going to get! Head over to Amazon and grab the book and maybe we’ll even convince C70 to bake you a pie. Probably not, but we can do our best.
